For more information, please visit www.thermofisher.com.What will you doResponsible for maintaining a constant inventory of clean laboratory glassware and/or assist with documentation management.Responsibilities:

• Performs collection and sorting of dirty glassware used in the laboratories and prepares glassware for washing as per the established in-house procedure
• Performs loading and operation of glassware washers, dryer, and pipette washers according to applicable approved procedures
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of washing machines
• Maintain inventory on detergents for multiple washers
• Performs checking of glassware for cleanliness prior to restocking clean, dry glassware in storage areas in laboratories. Maintains a constant inventory of clean glassware and cleaning supplies. Orders new glassware if required.
• Take inventory for glassware and stoppers when shortages are observed and initiate orders
• Responsible for collecting laboratory waste, including liquid waste, syringes and vial waste, and disposing waste according to established protocol. Repetitive lifting of up to 50 lbs is involved
• Maintain a constant inventory of basic lab and cleaning supplies and glassware for general lab use
• Provides timely assistance to lab chemists when requested
• Performs collection of empty reagent bottles, full bins/drums of used syringes, filters and vials on a regular basis, or as needed. Performs coordination of laboratory waste removal.
• Monitor and maintain lab cleanliness
• Scans, electronically stores, photocopies, distributes, files and archives Laboratory Operations (LO) documents as needed
• Manages document storage at off-site location
• Creates and manages Notebooks and Logbooks
• Scans Laboratory Notebooks and Logbooks and maintains database
• Scans Analytical Release Forms (ARF)
• Maybe essential to perform alternating or rotating shift work (as required)

How will you get thereRequirementsEducation:

• Minimum High School Diploma

Experience:

• 1-year previous experience in a scientific environment

Competencies:

• Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (e.g., Outlook, Excel, Word), Good interpersonal oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Detail Oriented.
• Reliable.
• Proficiency with the English Language.
