With dedicated managers and inspiring coworkers to support you, you’ll find the resources and opportunities to make significant contributions to the world while building a vibrant career!What will you doResponsible for maintaining an adequate supply of lab consumables while ensuring an organized and clean lab environment.Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and participate in the coordination of inventory requirements and maintain an adequate supply of lab consumable items in stock rooms at all times.
  • Manage the inventory levels to satisfy future sales requirements such as setting up new vendors, and requesting quotes while maintaining effective inventory control
  • To be responsible for the complete and accurate preparation of all documentation pertaining to the purchase and/or revisions of inventory requirements
  • Be familiar with all relevant suppliers, their product ranges and capabilities while exploring opportunities with new suppliers for products and services
  • Work closely with Managers to advise of changing market/supply situations and impending problems which may occur with incoming materials
  • Receive and unpack daily deliveries from the Warehouse and ensure the product is passed on as per the business service requirements
  • Log consumables and reagents into the SampleManager LIMS software program, restock shelves and dispose of empty bottles
  • Perform clerical support and other related duties as required
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning duties of the lab(s) when required for audit readiness
  • Maintenance of gas cylinders for Laboratory, changing empty cylinders in a timely manner
  • Provide timely assistance to lab scientists when requested
  • Maintain a constant inventory of basic lab and cleaning supplies and glassware for general lab use.
  • It May be essential to perform alternating or rotating shift work (as required)
How will you get thereRequirementsEducation:
  • A minimum High School Diploma
Experience:
  • 1 year of previous experience in a laboratory assistant or support role
Competencies:
  • Computer proficiency with SampleManager LIMS, eDMS and Microsoft Office programs (e.g., Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Good interpersonal oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Detail Oriented.
  • Reliable.
  • Proficiency in the English Language
