Dispatch & Driver CoordinatorLocation: Whitecourt, Grande Prairie, HintonPosition Type: Full Time, PermanentHours of Work: 7am to 5pm, Calls after hoursTravel required: ExtensiveJob Description/Role and Responsibilities: · Plan, coordinate, and dispatch projects relating to the Transportation of Dangerous Goods through tank truck, pressure truck, and vacuum truck operations.· Communicate consistently throughout a 24-hour period to ensure driver safety and consistent operations excellence with customers.· Communicating with General Manager regarding any driver requests for time off, no shows or discipline issues.· Communicate with Service Managers and mechanics to schedule repairs, regular maintenance, and deal with unscheduled breakdowns.· Review and complete all paperwork and administrative tasks related to dispatch:- Ticket review and completion, verify for accuracy.- Pricing tickets and ensuring received in a timely manner by Accounts Receivable department. Sending tickets for approval when necessary.- Communicate directly with drivers and truck pushes to ensure corrections are made to tickets in a timely manner. Follow up with drivers on paperwork deletions or deficiencies.- Communicate any outstanding requested corrections to the GM.· Coordinating driver schedules to comply with required on/off times (monitoring hours of service requirements).· Updating Axon to ensure unnecessary tickets are removed.· Answering questions for payroll administration for timesheet verification, shop, and overtime approvals.· Maintain chemical inventory and ensure billing has been accurately completed for chemical use/purchase.· Responsible for communicating with customers, and suppliers and other Sniper branches.· Communicate with all levels of the Sniper organization including drivers, supervisors, managers, and administration while adhering to the Sniper Chain of Command call list.· Attend any required training to update skills or renew knowledge of legislation relating to the operation of Transportation of Dangerous Goods and Department of Transportation Regulations.· Demonstrate commitment to Sniper Services Health and Safely policies, safe work procedures and all required completion of documents.Schedule: Eight (8) days on six (6) days off: In office 7a.m. to 5 p.m., and 24 hours per day on call.Job Capabilities· 75% Sitting during paperwork completion.· 25% WalkingQualifications· 3 years Gas and Oilfield dispatch experience including knowledge of HOS, DOT regulations and Journey Management.· Read and write English.· Computer literate/experience with Axon an asset.· Above average communication skills.Report directly to: General ManagerJob Type: Full-timeSalary: $70,000.00-$85,000.00 per yearBenefits:
