Through exceptional organizational skills, the Logistics Coordinator efficiently coordinates, processes and tracks requests for equipment, services and workforce as directed by the Duty Officer on time. The Logistics Coordinator provides supporting documents to the Alberta Wildfire Coordinating Centre (AWCC) to import and export resources to and from other provinces. Maintains an in depth knowledge of wildfire Standard Operating Procedures and Business Rules, and related contracts. The Coordinator assists in the recruiting, supervising, training and auditing of the seasonal logistic support staff within the Forest Area. This position audits appropriate wildfire logistics decision systems and invoices of resources hired before submitting them to administration for processing payment.This position will also have the opportunity to cross-train and cover dispatcher duties during the off-season. The Coordinator will also assist the local warehouse in the off-season to aid with administrative workload and other requirements at the local area warehouse as requested.QualificationsThe minimum requirements for this role are a high school diploma supplemented by three (3) years of related experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook is required.The incumbent will be required to take and pass a Logistics Course, Wildfire Dispatch Course, Basic Aircraft Management, ICS 100 and ICS 200.Additional requirements:
