This is a full time TERM position available until November 1, 2024 (with possibility of extension), working 75 hours bi-weekly. This competition may be used to fill similar term or permanent positions should they become available.Our roleThe Water Resources Branch works with diverse partners to protect water for the environment and people. We do so by building knowledge generated from our many water monitoring networks, undertaking research and targeted projects and by applying our learnings in the development of plans, policies and by providing expertise through Yukon’s regulatory process and through issuing flood forecasts. We are a committed, collaborative and engaged group of professionals who take pride in water stewardship for all Yukoners.Your roleThe Hydrologist strengthens the resiliency of the Yukon government’s flood forecasting and monitoring program through the planning, development, evaluation, and implementation of the hydrology program for Yukon.
