Job Description

Manager, Facilities and Capital PlanningHealth and Social ServicesThis is a term position ending March 31, 2023, working 75 hours bi-weekly.Reporting to the Capital and Maintenance Project Lead, this position is responsible for leading and facilitating the development and maintenance of the departmental facilities plan for HSS leased properties/program areas.The ideal person for this opportunity will:

  • Lead ongoing review of the departmental plan to ensure evolving program requirements are met
  • Work on the completion of the 5 year capital plan and 5 year space plan
  • Liaise between program areas and HSS Capital and Maintenance Project lead and HPW Realty and Space planning
  • Assist with coordination of space plans and implementation of initiatives with HPW

  • Experience with tendering and contract administration, including budgets and tracking of expenditures
  • Experience in project management
  • Property management processes and procedures experience relating to Capital Development, Realty & Capital Asset Planning, and/or Facility Management
  • Experience working within a multi-stakeholder environment with diverse interests
Candidates who have education, and experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may be equally considered.Desired Knowledge, Skills and SuitabilityCandidates should have and may be assessed on:
  • Excellent organizational, time and project management abilities; must be able to coordinate multiple items/projects at one time
