Linden Place – Eden Health Care ServicesWinkler, MBFull-time, Permanent (Days, Evenings & Rotating Weekends)Open until filledJob Posting Number: LP-195-1110Position Summary:The Residential Care Worker supports and facilitates the daily activities of residents related to each individual’s recovery plan.Qualifications:Education/Certification:Post-secondary education related to health care or human services preferredCurrent 1st Aide Certification requiredKnowledge, Skills and Ability:Ability to be flexible to meet different shift schedules as requiredAbility to respond to immediate resident issues while maintaining work on long term goalsAbility to provide a functional assessment of observed behaviorThorough knowledge of life skills and ability to teach samePrinciple Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Implements the residential recovery plan:
    • Assists residents to work toward clearly set goals and help make decisions based on the resident’s values (i.e. teaching and supporting the practice of activities of daily living)
  • Organizes and facilitates psycho-social education in individual and group settings:
    • Encouraging the practice of appropriate coping strategies
  • Organizes, facilitates and assists in the performance of routine household tasks:
    • Encourages participation of all residents in household routines
    • Facilitates skill acquisition as it relates to resident participation in carrying out household tasks
