Position Overview:We are currently hiring a Pool Technician to service and maintain residential pools - both within their water chemistry and their mechanical equipment. This role is ideal for someone with strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience in pool systems. The ideal candidate will be skilled in troubleshooting, equipment servicing, and understanding the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing components of pools.What You’ll Do:
  • Perform maintenance and troubleshooting of pool equipment including pumps, heaters, filters, salt systems, automation controls, autocover servicing, and lighting
  • Conduct start-ups, shut-downs, and seasonal maintenance of pools including auto cover installation.
  • Handle electrical, gas fitting, and plumbing connections related to pool systems (within scope of certification)
  • Test, balance, and treat pool water to ensure safety and compliance with health regulations
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical issues with pool equipment
  • Maintain detailed service records and communicate job status with clients and supervisors
  • Support pool construction crews when required, particularly with equipment set-up and mechanical installation
  • Ensure proper function and safety of all installed systems
  • Provide outstanding customer service during site visits and service calls
What We’re Looking For:
  • 3+ years of experience servicing and maintaining in-ground pools
  • Deep knowledge of pool equipment mechanics and operation
  • Understanding of plumbing, electrical, and gas systems as they relate to pools (relevant certifications considered a strong asset)
  • Ability to troubleshoot and perform hands-on repairs with accuracy and efficiency
  • Experience using electrical meters, pressure gauges, and pool diagnostic tools
  • Comfortable working independently and managing time across multiple service locations
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License (Class 3 or GFI license an asset)
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work in outdoor conditions, and stand for extended periods
Work Schedule:
  • Full-time, seasonal or year-round employment
  • Monday to Friday (some Saturdays required depending on schedule and weather)
  • 10-hour shifts
  • Winter work available in snow removal, or extended vacation options
