Job Description

Job DescriptionAECOM is seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineering Graduate to be based in Winnipeg, Manitoba.The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform assignments requiring the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to carry out engineering tasks.
  • Undertake preliminary and detailed engineering design activities under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
  • Exercise judgment limited to developing details of work in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives.
  • Create designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer for water and wastewater infrastructure.
  • Select equipment and liaise with equipment suppliers and vendors.
  • Prepare technical specifications, special provisions, and forms of tender.
  • Collect and analyze data.
  • Use computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.
  • Perform work in accordance with agreed-upon budget and schedule under supervision.
  • Review of quantity and cost estimates for completeness and accuracy.
  • Provision of contract administration services during the construction of water and wastewater infrastructure and facilities.
  • Visit active construction projects and provide resident engineering services. Travel outside Winnipeg may be required.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to complete water and wastewater infrastructure assignments.
  • Prepare technical reports and analyses to support project assignments.
  • Actively engage in professional development and industry events.
