Job Description

COACH ASSEMBLY ASSOCIATE POSITION OVERVIEWJoin our dynamic team as a key contributor in the assembly and manufacturing of MCI coaches! As part of our workforce covered by the Collective Agreement, you will play a crucial role in building top-quality coaches, installing and testing various components, and ensuring every step meets our high standards and deadlines. Safety is our top priority, and in this role, you #39;ll actively promote a safe working environment and comply with all Health, Safetyamp; Environmental (HS amp;E) regulations, as well as Plant Safety rules.WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Install, assemble, and test various coach components efficiently within company-set Takt time.
  • Operate a variety of hand, air, and power tools such as drills, impact guns, grinders, sanders, and torque wrenches.
  • Follow detailed work instructions and read blueprints where applicable to ensure precision and quality.
  • Identify and resolve assembly issues to keep production on schedule.
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize processes and improve workflow.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area to meet 5S standards.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions and interpret blueprints or technical drawings.
  • Prior experience in manufacturing or assembly is an asset.
  • A strong commitment to shop floor safety and compliance with HS amp;E regulations.
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
