Job Description

POSITION SUMMARYReporting to the Finance Business Systems Manager, this position is responsible for supporting the continuous improvement of Oracle EPM and processes by implementing solutions to maximize departmental efficiencies. This role drives projects, system administration, and supports operational activities as part of aligning Finance and Tax with all business units across NFI Group. WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Support and lead multiple, complex projects, including defining and managing scope, supporting analysis, working to timelines, ensuring development and testing is executed, and delivering minimum viable products/solutions.
  • Lead core daily operations within Oracle EPM including mappings, creation of new accounts and validating integrations between systems and backing up of files.
  • Provide leadership and training to team members and peers by collaborating with others, communicating with senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Implement and support system solutions that align with the strategic direction of Finance and Tax including system design, system integrations, system configurations and post-implement and ongoing operational support.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of business and systems processes, information/data required and generated by these processes and the system-functionality that ensures these processes are cost-effective and efficient.
  • Organize and facilitate meetings and interviews with business users, external consultants, and subject matter experts to gather information for the identification and definition of their business processes, project scope and impact of their business process issues.
  • Identify and support continuous improvement opportunities in the business through reviews and assessments of current business processes and systems.
  • Lead acceptance testing of new business systems and system enhancements to ensure system functions in accordance with detailed specifications.
  • Develop and apply team’s Standard Operating Procedures (templates, metrics, etc.).
RequirementsWHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
  • Post-secondary education in Finance or Accounting.
  • 1-3 years’ experience with ERP systems or complex systems in an administrative role.
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio).
  • Excellent communication, creative problem-solving skills, and ability to be successful in a collaborative team environment.
  • CPA or other accounting designation would be considered an asset.
  • System configuration and/or development experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge business process redesign or re-engineering is an advantage.
  • Project management and/or business analysis training would be considered a very strong asset.
