Job Description

POSITION SUMMARYThis role is instrumental in supporting NFI Group’s finance transformation initiatives, including the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Long-Range Plan (LRP) processes. The position will play a critical role in preparing and supporting earnings reports, Board presentations, Business Unit (BU) reviews, and other monthly and quarterly financial reporting activities. Additionally, the role will be key in developing and delivering strategic financial analysis leveraging the company’s Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) system.WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Driving our monthly and quarterly forecasting processes across all functions of finance.
  • Establishing a world-class AOP and LRP processes with a strong emphasis on strategy roadmap.
  • Help drive the vision for all Corporate / BU reviews.
  • Be a critical resource for Board and Investor materials preparation.
  • Manages the capital expenditure process, including the review of business cases that support new capital investments.
  • Be a cross-functional team member engaged in high priority projects for NFI Group.
  • Drive adoption and growth of EPM within all BUs to support the forecasting processes.
  • Assist in further development of EPM’s system architecture to support analysis of financial results.
  • Develop financial models to support decision making.
  • Analyze and support expense allocation methodologies.
  • Provides interpretation of financial results against planned performance.
  • Prepares and presents results and recommendations to senior management.
RequirementsWHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
  • BS in Accounting, Business or Engineering Field, MS preferred (or relevant work experience). Having a recognized accounting designation is considered an asset.
  • 5-10 years of progressive business roles with a mix of corporate and BU experience.
  • Experience supporting strategic planning processes such as AOP and LRP
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite; experience with EPM or other planning tools
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
