Job Description

Further information is available at www.newflyer.com.POSITION SUMMARYAs a member of the Paint Shop team, this position will be responsible for paint prepping, polishing functions and operating painting tools while adhering to company procedures.WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Operate palm sanders and polishers to prepare the bus for painting.
  • Responsible for completing tasks to ensure performance targets are met.
  • Maintain accurate information flow to support our first-time quality initiatives.
  • Adhere to safety procedures as they apply to all equipment used in this position.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
  • Possess a basic understanding about the paint process, painting, priming, and masking procedures/practices with the ability to read blueprints, and or process sheets.
  • Have great interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to perform required duties with minimal supervision.
  • Operate equipment and power/hand tools that are required in this position.
