Job Description

Description New Flyer is North America’s heavy-duty transit bus leader, providing sustainable mobility solutions through transit buses, technology, and infrastructure. Proudly serving all 25 of the largest transit agencies in North America, New Flyer actively supports over 35,000 heavy-duty transit buses currently operated by approximately 500 agencies. POSITION SUMMARYAs a key member of our Quality Assurance team, this position will be responsible for ensuring our buses adhere and comply with our Internal Quality Control System.RequirementsWHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Responsible for identifying quality and process gaps and non-conformance issues
  • In-process inspection of production, fabricated and purchased materials
  • Final inspection of buses for delivery, investigate and communicate internally and externally on non-conformance issues and find resolutions to issues
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
  • Ability to read blueprints and use a variety of precision testing and measuring instruments
  • Experience understanding and applying quality systems to drive and sustain improvements
  • Have great interpersonal, communication, problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Clear understanding of the bill of materials as it relates to product completion
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, with a focus on Excel and Word
  • Previous experience working with Oracle database system would be considered an asset
  • NDT certification would be considered an asset
  • Ability to work rotating shifts
