Job Description

New Flyer is North America’s heavy-duty transit bus leader, providing sustainable mobility solutions through transit buses, technology, and infrastructure. Proudly serving all 25 of the largest transit agencies in North America, New Flyer actively supports over 35,000 heavy-duty transit buses currently operated by approximately 500 agencies. This position is in charge of developing and maintaining Supply Chain visibility and tools for the management team, utilizing Oracle, Power BI, Excel, and other appropriate tools. The analyst is also responsible for following supplier capacity and creating forecasts for lead timeRequirementsWHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Drive supply chain improvements, including KPIs, process improvements and as a resource for purchasing and supply leadership teams
  • Create advance tools for supply team in Power BI and Excel to provide visibility on teams and day to day operations
  • Build and maintain VP dashboard that will measure department performance
  • Root cause and provide insight on missed targets
  • Provide forecast of information to suppliers
  • Look for demand exceeding supplier capacity with advance tools
  • Conduct analysis on master schedule, summarize and communicate to purchasing and materials team
  • Aid in development, communication and deployment of departmental policies, guidelines and tools for success
  • Help in opportunities for enhancements, submitting proposals and value added projects
  • Support business creation process
  • Other duties as assigned
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
  • A University bachelor #39;s degree
  • 5+ years in a manufacturing environment
  • 5+ years in an analyst role with strong process systems experience
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of supply chain, especially with purchasing, planning and inventory management
  • Thorough knowledge of MRP systems and Oracle an asset
  • Strong technical background in business systems
  • Expertise in MS Office suite, especially Excel and Power BI
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • High analytical abilities with aptitude for improvement and efficiency
  • Project management experience an asset
