Job Description

This position is responsible for providing leadership support and project management to Vehicle Applications Engineering Bids and SR groups as they proceed through the bid, pre-production and build processes. The position’s goal is to ensure that the engineering deliverables are provided on-time and meet and/or exceed customer requirements and expectations. The position will focus on data-driven problem solving, process and quality improvements.Requirements

  • Using CRM, bid tracker and schedules, support customer technical specification review, resolve technical issues, identified during bid and through pre production and production processes
  • Meet or exceed customer specifications while meeting timing deadlines
  • Review weight estimates, ensure curb weight targets are met and review customer technical specifications are met
  • Collaborate with engineering groups to evaluate our corporate abilities and strategize proposals for customer meetings
  • Using various formats report specification misses and VAE codes to leadership, focus on top issues and roadblocks and support management to improve overall processes
  • Act as a liaison and facilitate cross functional communications as required with sales, design engineering, CPM and other departments
  • Provide coaching, support and training of new VAE staff to ensure completion of deliverables
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
  • Bachelor #39;s degree in an engineering discipline or post secondary engineering education, technical training or a combination of education, skills and experience
  • 5+ years in a relevant field or job
  • Proven ability in data-driven problem-solving with a keen focus on detail.
  • Proficient in the use of Excel macro applications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Project management, computer, and communication skills
  • Strong attention to details
