Job Description

CARFAIR - ASSEMBLERCarfair Composites is a leader in fibre-reinforced plastic (FRP) design and composites technology and has dedicated team members located in facilities between Winnipeg, MB (Canada), St. Cloud, MN (USA), and Anniston, AL (USA), Wausaukee, WI (USA) and Gillett, WI (USA).Position SummaryAs an Assembler, your main role is to efficiently assemble high-quality products using hand tools. You will follow standard operating procedures, prioritize safety, and work well with your team members.What You Will Do:

  • Maintain tools and equipment.
  • Prepare finished products for shipping.
  • Perform structural and cosmetic repairs on fiberglass components.
  • Document non-conformities and issue NCP tags.
  • Assemble fiberglass parts and install hardware according to blueprints.
  • Train other team members.
  • Cut and sand fiberglass parts to required specifications.
  • Use jigs and fixtures to assemble parts.
  • Follow all Lean and 5S initiatives.
  • Check blueprints for required assembly and finish specifications.
  • Comply with all safety and housekeeping rules.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
  • Prior experience in composites or similar industry preferred
  • Strong problem-solving ability including troubleshooting and resolving issues
  • Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time
  • Must be able to reach and bend on a consistent basis
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-task production environment
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workload
  • Ability to exercise initiative and sound judgment
  • Ability to work in harmony with others while maintaining a positive and professional attitude with overall success in mind
  • Evidence of a satisfactory work record including performance, attendance and teamwork
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and deal with issues logically and within the company guidelines
