Job Description

Job DescriptionAECOM is seeking an Electrical Engineer/EIT to be based in our Winnipeg, MB office. The position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Builds analytic and design skills.
  • Conducts engineering design under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
  • Design and develop contract specifications, studies and reports for electrical power and distribution systems, grounding, lighting, cable tray system, cable feeder sizing, soft-start and variable speed drives, standby power, and low tension systems (fire alarm, telecommunications and security systems) focused on low voltage applications
  • Design and specify process instrumentation and control devices for various processes including water/wastewater treatment and industrial applications
  • Take direction from Projects’ Managers, Leads and Engineers, and work closely with other discipline Drafters, Designers and Engineers as a key team player for coordination and liaison of project deliverables under minimal supervision
  • Strictly adhere to AECOM #39;s project design and specification standards, including capability of learning and adopting clients #39; standard and requirements as required.
  • Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
  • Collects and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
  • Attend site visits and perform work inspection in accordance with electrical design drawings and documents.
  • Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.
  • Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision.
