Job Description

Carfair Composite is a leader in fibre-reinforced plastic (FRP) design and composites technology and has dedicated team members located in facilities between Winnipeg, MB (Canada), St. Cloud, MN (USA), and Anniston, AL (USA), Wausaukee, WI (USA) and Gillett, WI (USA). POSITION SUMMARY:As a key member of the Carfair Composites accounting department, your duties will include tasks that assist with the preparation of the monthly financial statement packageamp; costing duties as well as providing general support within the organization to operations.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Preparation of the monthly financial reporting package for designated plant(s)
  • Preparation and posting of monthly journal entries
  • Various costing duties including work order review and close; maintaining accurate standard costs in Oracle
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Monitoring and reconciliation of the bank activity
  • Customer collections
  • Preparation of weekly reports on key metrics
  • Variance investigation
  • Assisting with ad-hoc reports and projects for finance and operations
  • Enforcing internal controls over the financial statements Preparation of required tax reports
  • Other ad-hoc duties as assigned to support finance and operations
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
  • 2+ years accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX and Oracle are desired.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Ability to set priorities and organize workloads
  • Ability to function within a manufacturing environment
  • Office physical requirements - sitting, standing, and walking
