Your RoleAs the Food Safety Business Partner, the successful candidate will support the Quality, Health, Safety and Environment Manager in the development, implementation and maintenance of various existing and future food/feed safety and sustainability programs. Day to Day
  • Continuously develop and maintain proficiency in company Health and Food Safety policies, procedures, processes, and approved documents.
  • Communicate and implement food safety program materials to locations as directed by the Quality, Health, Safety and Environment Manager.
  • Assist in the development and provide coaching to locations on the creation of process flows, hazard assessments, standard operating procedures, and related monitoring documents.
  • Streamline documents and processes across the grain division.
  • Centralize, organize, and maintain a systematic filling system for all records, including third-party inspections, as part of the documentation control program.
  • Track, analyze and report on internal audits, identifying gaps and providing follow-up actions as needed.
Required Qualifications
  • Post secondary education in Business, Accounting, Agricultural areas, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years’ experience developing and implementing food/feed safety systems.
  • Previous experience and understanding of Canadian Grain Commission HACCP Program / GMP+ FSA standards.
  • Must be able to travel provincially and interprovincially and hold a valid driver #39;s license.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 Application Suite, with a high proficiency in Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Accreditation/Completion of Auditing Course.
  • Previous experience in the Agricultural industry.
  • Familiarity with interpreting Canadian Grain Actamp; Regulations, Food Safety Regulations and Standards with a practical approach to implementation.
