Your RoleAs Foreign Exchange (FX) Accountant, the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting our Treasury Manager in supporting the currency hedge desk to manage grain business risks.Day to Day
  • Reconcile daily Futures Commission Merchant (FCM) statements
  • Prepare monthly journal entries related to FX and analyze impacts to P amp;L statements
  • Identify and disseminate FX exposures within grain related cash flows and positions
  • Communicate with Grain Merchants and Treasury Manager to analyze changes in currency positions
  • Compile, reconcile and report the daily Merchandising FX Inventory and AR –AP positions
  • Confirm, reconcile, and report daily and month-end bank forward settlements (within FXall)
  • Work on FX projects as required
  • Flexible working hours may be required
Qualifications
  • Accounting designation and/or relevant work experience
  • Grain accounting experience would be an asset
  • Experience or background in the grain and/or treasury industries would be an asset
  • Ability to work independently, as well as contribute to the team
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 Application Suite
