We’re united by a shared commitment to excellent and equitable health care.Position OverviewReporting to the site Director or Site Lead, Human Resources Services, the Human Resource Consultant is responsible for the provision of human resource services including:Management Support – performance management, attendance management. Labour Relations – contract interpretation, application of progressive discipline up to and including dismissal, grievance handling, and collective bargaining. Employee Relations – application of progressive discipline, investigation of workplace complaints, conducting exit interviews. Staffing – development of selection criteria and interview questions, participation on interview panels and providing feedback.Experience Minimum of five years experience in a unionized environment performing a broad range of Human Resource functions including: employee relations, labour relations, and staffing.Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate) Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized post-secondary institution. Certificate in Human Resource Management from a recognized post-secondary institution.Certification/Licensure/Registration CPHR certification preferred.Physical Requirements Work is primarily in an office environment. Must be able to handle multiple priorities and competing demands.This term position may end earlier as outlined in your collective agreement.This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred.
