Job Description

IT Service Desk InternThis is a paid summer intern position from May 2024 – September 2024.Parrishamp; Heimbecker Join our team that shares your Passionamp; Heart for Canadian agriculture! Parrishamp; Heimbecker, Limited (P amp;H) has an opportunity for a motivated, forward-thinking, and dedicated individual as an IT Service Desk Intern for our Grain division based in Winnipeg, Manitoba.Work and grow with a family-owned company. Your RoleAs the IT Service Desk Intern, the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with technical projects and providing prompt and courteous first level support for internal end users.Please note this is not a Developer position. Day to Day

  • Execute various IT projects, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and in accordance with project objectives and timelines
  • Provide first level help desk support for all hardware and software issues in a Microsoft Windows environment
  • Engage with end users and location managers via phone and other communication channels to address issues, fulfill requests, and ensure successful project completion
  • Perform employee account activations and associated hardware, software and mobile device setup and configuration
  • Actively maintain the IT service deck system by categorizing requests, updating ticket statuses, and documenting resolutions
Qualifications
  • Pursuing post-secondary education in an Information Technology Program with a focus on Network and System Administration
  • Experience with Windows 10, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Entra, and networking protocols
  • Experience supporting, troubleshooting, and repairing computer hardware, including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals
  • Possesses a strong commitment to professionalism, consistently adhering to standards, maintaining punctuality, and upholding organizational protocols
  • Must be available to work on-site
