Job Description

Carfair Composites is a leader in fiber-reinforced plastic (FRP) design and composites technology and has dedicated team members located in facilities between Winnipeg, MB (Canada), St. Cloud, MN (USA), and Anniston, AL (USA), Wausaukee, WI (USA) and Gillett, WI (USA).Further information is available at www.carfaircomposites.com. POSITION SUMMARYSupports the ME team with providing and maintaining documents including work instructions, SOPs, etc. Responsible to ensure all documentation is up to date and accessible to all Carfair sites.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Creates and documents Work Instructions (WI), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) with the support of the Manufacturing Engineer team.
  • Manages the Carfair CDN / US database of Work Instructions (WI) to ensure accurate and up to date.
  • Ensures WIs and SOPs are accessible and compliant with ISO standards, especially in preparation for audits.
  • Works closely with the Manufacturing Engineering (ME), Sales and Marketing, and Production teams for all Carfair sites.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation related to Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and First Article Inspection (FAI) processes.
  • Ensure seamless communication and documentation process.
  • Provides administrative assistance as required to the ME team, ensuring efficient operation and project completion.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
  • University degree is preferred.
  • 2 - 5 years #39; experience is essential in a manufacturing environment
  • Understanding of how bill of materials, and routings are generated and maintained.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle changing priorities.
  • Skills to read and understand blueprints.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with Windows, email, and scheduling software.
  • Understanding of LEAN manufacturing concepts is a plus.
