Job Description

Carfair Composites is a leader in fibre-reinforced plastic (FRP) design and composites technology and has dedicated team members located in facilities between Winnipeg, MB (Canada), St. Cloud, MN (USA), and Anniston, AL (USA), Wausaukee, WI (USA) and Gillett, WI (USA).POSITION SUMMARY:We are looking for a skilled Mold Maker to join our team. As a Mold Maker, you will be responsible for creating molds according to specific parts and dimensions needed for our fiberglass bus components. This role requires attention to detail, craftsmanship, and the ability to work with various materials and tools.WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Design and create molds based on technical drawings and specifications.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and machinery to fabricate molds.
  • Ensure molds meet quality standards and dimensional accuracy.
  • Collaborate with engineers and production teams to understand mold requirements.
  • Maintain and repair existing molds as needed.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
  • Previous experience as a Mold Maker or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Knowledge of composite materials and manufacturing techniques.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools (pneumatic, electric, manual).
  • Ability to lift heavy loads and stand for long periods.
  • Good manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
  • Basic computer skills are a plus.
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
