Job Description

Quality Assurance Inspector #3New Flyer is North America #39;s heavy-duty transit bus leader with various locations in North America.Offering the most advanced product line under the Xcelsior® and Xcelsior CHARGE™ brands. It also offers infrastructure development through New Flyer Infrastructure Solutions™, a service dedicated to providing safe, sustainable, and reliable charging and mobility solutions. Further information is available at www.newflyer.com.POSITION SUMMARYAs a key member of our Quality Assurance team, this position will be responsible for ensuring our buses adhere and comply with our Internal Quality Control System.WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Responsible for identifying quality and process gaps and non-conformance issues.
  • In-process inspection of production, fabricated and purchased materials.
  • Final inspection of buses for delivery, investigate and communicate internally and externally on non-conformance issues and find resolutions to issues.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
  • Ability to read blueprints and use a variety of precision testing and measuring instruments.
  • Experience understanding and applying quality systems to drive and sustain improvements.
  • Have great interpersonal, communication, problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Clear understanding of the bill of materials as it relates to product completion.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, with a focus on Excel and Word.
  • Previous experience working with Oracle database system would be considered an asset.
  • NDT certification would be considered an asset.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts.
