Job Description

NURSE PRACTITIONER INTERNAL/EXTERNAL POSTINGDepartment: Primary CarePosition:WICCC Nurse Practitioner, indefinite term Up to four 0.4 EFT positions and one 0.5 EFT positionSalaryamp; Benefits: As per the MNU contractAnticipated Start Date: August 14, 2023Application Deadline: August 10th, 2023 The Nurse Practitioner will function within an interdisciplinary primary health care team as a first-line provider of episodic care in our Walk-in Connected Care Clinic (WICCC).This position will require work at Access NorWest (785 Keewatin). Rotations are flexible and will support the operational needs of WICCC and include weekdays, evenings, and holidays. Sample rotations* include:*Subject to change based on operational needs of WICCCQUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduate of Nurse Practitioner Program at the master #39;s level
  • Current active practicing registration with CRNM
  • Meets requirements and competencies set out by the CRNM for extended practice registry.
  • Extensive experience in an advanced practice role as a nurse practitioner in acute care and community settings.
  • Excellent advanced clinical, communication and counselling skills
  • Highly developed clinical reasoning, problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.
  • Must be willing to work weekdays, weekends, evenings and holidays.
  • MS Office and EMR (Accuro) proficiency
  • Child and Adult Abuse Registry and Criminal Records Check required.
  • Current basic life support certificate
