CancerCare Manitoba located in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada is a provincial agency which provides clinical and academic services and leadership for cancer control and the treatment of blood disorders.We invite applications for the position of: Oncology Nurse IIDepartment of Nursing – St. Boniface HospitalTerm, Part-time (0.5 EFT)Maternity / Parental LeaveASAP - August 30, 2024 (may expire with 2 weeks #39; notice)Competition #: 348-23-713505513Job Summary:The Oncology Nurse is responsible for providing holistic cancer care to patients over the spectrum of the oncology experience: assessment, intervention, treatment administration and follow-up in the ambulatory setting. The Oncology Nurse will participate in patient/family education, make pertinent nursing assessments, collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team and provide appropriate interventions. The incumbent must be available to work a variable schedule. Nursing staff work with cytotoxic and hazardous medications on a daily basis.
