Job Description

Kaleigh Gray is a Research Associate/Safety Technician for Monsanto Canada. When I was a student, I would have described myself as someone who:

I work in a genomics lab to identify plants and animals using DNA samples. I make sure we can monitor the weather all across Canada. I help identify sources of bacteria that cause disease and understand how they survive there. Decarbonizationamp; Sustainability Specialist I work to make the operations at the Port of Saint John cleaner, more sustainable, and lower our carbon footprint. I assist in the monitoring of microorganisms, bacteria and viruses that may have affect our health. I study how large dams may affect salmon and explore the role of hatcheries in rebuilding fish stocks. I help communities with their climate change adaptation plans and sustainable development issues. I review and analyze medical and insurance data to make sure it is accurate. Graduate Student, Biomedical Engineering I am a graduate student working towards my PhD in biological and biomedical engineering. I work with individuals and organizations on programs that help address climate change. I interpret and communicate pollution data collected by the National Pollutant Release Inventory (NPRI). I do research with Black communities and teach undergraduate and graduate students. I examine evidence from crime scenes for biological material such as blood, semen, or touch DNA. I research problems that affect peoples’ health, specifically in children. I work as a Guardian for the environment and cultural teachings of my community, Kitigan Zibi. I grow and research crops in an indoor, vertical farm. I perform different kinds of ultrasounds on different parts of the body. I use computer simulations and math to research how animals #39; behavior changes when their environment changes. Canada Research Chair in Indigenous Peoples, Technoscience and Society, Faculty of Native Studies I teach university and do research on science and technology from an Indigenous perspective. #J-18808-Ljbffr
