The Technical Analyst will contribute to the successful execution of application deployment initiatives and ensure the alignment of technology solutions with business objectives. Key responsibilities include:Evaluating business operations and computer systems to identify opportunities for software applications to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Providing insights and recommendations on upgrading or implementing new applications based on comprehensive business case analysis. Maintaining a comprehensive inventory of business-owned applications, including details such as application names, descriptions, business purposes, versioning, licensing, support contracts, renewals, and application rationalization. Identifying optimization opportunities to enhance cost efficiencies and improvements within the application portfolio. Managing, creating, and updating the application request intake process, including stakeholder reviews and approvals. Maintain a historical record of all requests. Collaborating with the End User Compute team to automate software installs, upgrades, and updates. Monitoring the roll-out of new software applications to ensure smooth deployment. Troubleshooting and resolving any issues related to business application software. Developing and overseeing protocols and procedures for the use of new software applications. Staying informed about the latest software developments to ensure up-to-date knowledge. Drive automation efforts to enhance operational efficiency and quality. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advocate for initiatives that deliver business value and efficiency.The ideal candidate will possess:Bachelor #39;s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field Proven experience as a technical analyst or similar role Familiarity with software application lifecycle management. Proficiency with the MS Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook. Fundamental knowledge of Systems or Application Analysis Knowledge of computer security procedures and protocols. Basic knowledge of advanced operating system, network, or application management tasks Ability to identify technical specifications to meet user needs including operating system and network or application configuration Skills in planning, organizing, and adapting within a multi-tasking environment. Ability to gather facts and data for technical proposals to expand upon them or develop alternatives and to evaluate emerging technologies and identify their potential impact within the existing environment. Ability to analyze complex computer problems and provide solutions. Familiarity with Monitoring and security tools is an asset. Experience with automation scripting is an asset. Familiarity with modern API technologies (SSO, OAuth, HTTP RPCs, REST) is an asset. Familiarity with web and mail protocols (HTTP, TLS, SMTP, etc.) is an asset.Conditions of employment:Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
