Job Description

Further information is available at www.newflyer.com.POSITION SUMMARY:Responsible for administration of NFI and MCI warranty recovery program and work to reduce warranty costs by improving supplier and product quality.WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Process NFI and MCI supplier recovery claims from OSVC and pursue supplier recovery for warranty failures.
  • Manage warranty work queue in OSVC.
  • Coordinate recovery with suppliers and hold suppliers accountable.
  • Analysis of supplier claims and evaluations.
  • Coordinate with Supply Chain, Procurement, and the Supplier Quality on supplier warranty contracts to increase recovery of warranty claims.
  • Work with suppliers to improve component quality.
  • Communicate and negotiate with suppliers via e-mail, phone, and meetings.
  • Create reports for Leadership group on failed components and pertaining costs.
  • Support the Warranty Failure Trend reporting.
  • Work with Finance on closing and processing of all warranty credits.
  • Update warranty claims to reflect part location, recoverable costs, evaluations, additional information required for claim comprehension.
  • Handle inquiries from properties and suppliers regarding freight issues.
  • Coordinate with Regional Product Support Managers (RPSM #39;s) and Field Techs on scrapping or returning of failed parts, failure details, and customer maintenance records.
  • Coordinate with the stock keepers in the parts warehouses on inventory control, shipping/receiving and upkeep of warranty parts.
  • Process Master Sheets.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Provide reporting of failures to applicable departments such as Technical Services, CEBS, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Procurement.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
  • Highschool, minimum grade 12
  • Drive to acquire maximum supplier recovery.
  • 2 or more years’ experience in Claims Recovery Administration
  • MS Office, Oracle knowledge and keyboarding.
  • Negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Computer and general office equipment knowledge
  • Experience with motor vehicle parts and/or automotive experience
