Job Description

Further information is available at www.newflyer.com.POSITION SUMMARY:Responsible for warranty recovery of all electric bus and coach component suppliers and supporting the effort to reduce warranty costs by improving supplier and product quality. WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Pursue supplier recovery for failed electric bus/coach, fuel cell bus/coach and charger components through supplier claims (sClaims).
  • Work with Service Engineering, Field Service and Charger and ZEV Bus Support groups to provide applicable data to present to leadership and external stakeholders.
  • Update Master Battery Tracker with Charger and ZEV Bus Support.
  • Analysis of warranty spend on ZEV components to better develop self-insured warranty costs for bids team.
  • Coordinate with Supply Chain, Procurement and the Supplier Quality and Warranty Recovery Team on supplier warranty contracts to increase recovery of warranty claims and work with suppliers to improve component quality.
  • Manage work queue in OSVC.
  • Review supplier evaluations and participate in claims negotiations.
  • Support of metrics for field service and supplier performance.
  • Communicate and negotiate with suppliers via e-mail, phone, and meetings.
  • Participate in weekly/monthly ZEV supplier meetings.
  • Provide support and analysis of claims and work orders as required.
  • Update shared Service trackers, Rejected sClaim log, Supplier terms, Warranty Failure Trend, etc.
  • Process Master Sheets for parts returned.
  • Compile supplier product serial number reports.
  • Coordinate with Regional Product Support Managers (RPSM #39;s) on scrapping or returning of failed parts, failure details, and customer maintenance records.
  • Coordinate with Winnipeg, Kentucky, and LA warehouse warranty stock keepers on inventory control, shipping/receiving and upkeep of warranty parts.
  • Other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
  • High School minimum grade 12.
  • 2 or more years’ experience in Claims Recovery Administration.
  • Experience with electrical vehicle architecture.
  • Experience with electrical theory, wiring diagrams and schematics.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel.
  • Computer, general office equipment.
  • MS Office, Oracle knowledge, keyboarding, Communication, organizational skills, and similar product knowledge.
  • Minimal lifting of storage boxes.
  • 2 % Travel (Supplier visits, offsite meetings).
