Assistant Feedlot Manager Kloepfer Holding Ltd is a family-owned farm located a few minutes off the 401, between Ingersoll and Woodstock. We are currently looking for an assistant feedlot manager to join our team. The ideal candidate is self driven, hard working, attentive, with adequate time management skills.The Assistant Feedlot Manager will be responsible for daily pen checks, diagnosing and treating sick cattle as needed, animal husbandry duties including cleaning out and bedding pens, and ensuring the barns are kept in an organized manner.Hours are Monday to Friday 7am to 4pm. Start time is firm, end time may vary. Must be willing to workHolidays and Weekends if required.Qualifications: - Background in agriculture, specifically in the care of beef livestockKey Job Responsibilities - Oversee and ensure good health of cattle- Daily observation and reporting any irregularities to Dale or Darrell Kloepfer- Observing for air quality and dry bedding- Observing for sick cattle and treating as necessary- Cleaning and bedding cattle- Vaccination administration and reporting as directed- Maintain an inventory on all Commodities, Medications, Implants & Vaccines - Ensuring working environment is clean, tidy and hygienicWORKSKILL REQUIREMENTS Work Skill Requirements - Excellent communications skills - to communicate effectively with farm owners and co-workers- Must be able to follow written and oral directions- Ability to manage a fast paced, high volume, clean farm environment- Strong organizational and time management skills, ability to multi- task, prioritize tasks and work productively- Must have a positive attitude and work ethic with support the farms values and culture- Must be able to work with large beef stock in a quiet, calm non- abusive manner- Must be willing to work in all outdoor environments/ weather- Must be able to work independently and work well as a team- Must operate equipment in a safe and productive manner- Willingness to operate equipment during cropping season- Ability to work extended hours when necessary- Must have reliable source of transpirationWages- Competitive hourly pay- Paid by-weekly- Wages to be discussed upon hiringPlease reply to this ad for any questions you may have or to submit your resume.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: $18.00-$25.00 per hourSchedule:
