Information Coordinator - Logistics (Job Number: 2115159 )Position Summary:Working closely with our Logistics team, this position will embark in the planning and organization of monthly design changes. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Information Coordinator will oversee the creation, implementation and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures. Working closely with our customer, this role is responsible to maintain and analyze daily KPI’s, providing accurate and timely sensitive data to the customer as required.Dayshift, but must be flexible and available some weekendsMajor Responsibilities:Primary contact for data collection, audit and reporting for changeover preparationPrimary responsibility for creation, implementation and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures/SWI relating to changeoverMonitors issues related to changeoverPrepares and trains for contingency situations resulting from non-standard operationsStudy the impact of customer initiated changes/requirements related to daily operations and Standard Operating Procedures/SWI. Make adjustments as necessary and ensurecommunication and implementationMaintains internal and external systems with accurate and timely data entryMaintain and monitor cross-dock tools and visuals for accuracy, operation consistency, and kaizen opportunityCommunicates effectively with customer, and other parties as required, regarding pertinent route and/or freight informationSupports root cause analysis with data collection and related reporting toolsSupports departmental functions, projects, Key Performance Indicators as requiredAccountable for maintaining a safe work environmentBuilds and develops relationships with customer and works to improve (Kaizen) processes where necessaryWorks within a project budget as applicableMeets deadlines for reports and activitiesData gathering for scorecard as requiredAdherence to company guidelines and expectationsOther projects as assigned by the supervisorHigh School diploma or GED equivalent requiredTwo year degree/certificate in Supply Chain Management preferredPrevious experience in transportation/third party logistic discipline requiredIntermediate skills in Microsoft Office requiredExperience with warehouse and/or yard management software preferredMust have strong organizational and time management skillsRegular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the jobWillingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete a Penske employment application, submit to a reference verification (to include past employment and education) are required.Physical Requirements:
