Job Description

Job Title: Community Based LiaisonOrganization: Society for the Involvement of Good Neighbours (SIGN) See www.signyorkton.caYorkton SK CanadaProgram: Family Support Program Hours: 35 hours/week Location: Yorkton/Surrounding Area Start Date: September 28 2022The Family Support Program, through The Society for the Involvement of Good Neighbours (SIGN) is seeking an organized, person-centered Community Based Liaison. The individual chosen will support clients through home visits and increase knowledge of our community based services across agencies and communities.   • Provide strength-based services to increase family/individual stability, health, and safety in the areas of parenting, child development and communication
  • Connect clients to community/professional supports and create care teams
  • Use critical thinking and creativity to respond to client needs and direction of management
  • Communicate with various audiences and develop a community understanding /awareness of services
  • Create proposals/resource packages and lead initiatives, presentations, and meetings
  • Track/evaluate qualitative and quantitative indicators to identify outcomes or needs
  • Juggle priorities and switch focus between demands, such as program development and in-home client support
  • Use Excel and Word, create reports, and assist with billing and reporting
  • The ability to take feedback professionally and respectfully
Qualifications and experience:
  • A Bachelor’s Degree, Diploma/Certification appropriate to the position, such as a degree in Psychology, Sociology, Project Management, Social Work or Special Education, or relevant experience in human services and community outreach
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a personal motor vehicle for client transports
  • A clear Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check from RCMP
  • Knowledge or experience working with programs/clients with autism, ADHD, conduct disorder, anxiety and mental health, LGBTQ2S+, intellectual disabilities, and a focus on positive/gentle parenting techniques
  • Experience with research, outreach, and writing
