This role also involves store maintenance such as stocking shelves, merchandising and general housekeeping.Main Responsibilities and Tasks:

• Meet, greet and thank customers and provide friendly, informed service to them.
• Guides customer to the location of requested items.
• Answers questions and provides friendly advice and services to customers.
• Suggest value-added and related products by actively listening to customer needs.
• Responds to and handles customer inquiries, requests and concerns in a timely manner, over the phone and in person.
• Learns about new products on a regular basis.
• Keeps up to date with in-store promotions, in-store deals and product locations.
• Ensures that retail basics tasks are executed efficiently.
• Identify low stock levels and maintain inventory accuracy.
• Engages in learning activities and listens to feedback to improve their own abilities.
• Helping customers load or unload

Requirements:Essential duties:

• Retrieving carts from our parking lot as well as around mall perimeter
• Collection of baskets and returning them to their proper locations, and making sure they are well stocked.
• Carrying out items to customers cars as well as carrying in items from customers vehicles.
• General cleaning jobs around the store such as:
  • Dusting Shelving in Departments
  • Cleaning the Public Washrooms when needed
  • Moping up spills and messes as the happen
  • Shoveling snow from the front of the store in the Winter Months
  • Washing windows
  • Changing out wet floor mats
  • Moving pallets of Salt from outside to inside using an electric pallet jack.
• Putting customer returns back on their shelves in their proper homes
• Taking defective items to the proper location
• Helping out in departments with facing and stocking of shelves
• Other duties as assigned by the manager.
• Qualifications
• A demonstrated ability to deliver a positive customer service experience using strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to maintain composure and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time
• Ability to bend twist and lift through out the shift
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs independently

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

• Standing/walking for 8 hours.
• Lifting and/or carrying of merchandise items, as required, on a regular, frequent and unassisted basis. Merchandise item may vary in weight from "light" to "heavy".
