I nvite sapplications for Educational Assistant:Yorkton Regional High SchoolLocation:Yorkton, SaskatchewanAssignment/Contract:5.5 hours/day - TemporarySalary:In Accordance with the CUPE 4784 Collective AgreementContact:Mike Haczkewicz, Principal - [email protected]ORVal Ruf, Student Services Consultant - [email protected]The Good Spirit School Division invites applications for a temporary part-time Educational Assistant (EA).EAs support student learning in the classroom environment and other educational settings.These dynamic individuals support teachers and school teams in meeting the diverse learning needs of students.EAs are valuable members of a team which collaborates to promote student learning, well-being and success.Assignment and Term:This position is a temporary part-time position of 5 hours per day in accordance with the Educational Assistant school calendar.The position commences on March 27, 2023, and will expire on May 26, 2023.The work schedule will be determined by the Principal.Rest periods will be scheduled in accordance with the current collective bargaining agreement.The duties of an Educational Assistant are to:Work closely with students to meet their diverse learning goals.Provide assistance to students with mobility needs and/or who require personal care.Assist the classroom teacher to support learning with all students in the classroom.Maintain strict confidentiality of all information pertaining to a child, classroom and the school.Perform other duties as assigned by the principal or designate and those listed in Job Description - Educational Assistant.Working knowledge of basic mathematics and English skills.The successful candidate will have the desired qualifications:Minimum Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent.Acute attention to detail, adaptability, flexibility and the ability to work as a team member will be considered assets.Salary and Benefits:The successful candidate will be paid on a monthly basis at an hourly rate from $17.98 - $23.25 plus applicable vacation pay.Benefits include participation in the Saskatchewan School Board Association (SSBA) Employee Benefits Plan if eligible, the Municipal Employees Pension Plan (MEPP) if enrolment is chosen and opportunities to attend professional development seminars.Interviews will be conducted upon application.Please note that GSSD may contact informal references not listed in your application package.Applicants not currently working for GSSD will be required to submit a recent (within the last six months) criminal record and vulnerable sector check acceptable to the Board of Education prior to offer of employment.The Good Spirit School Division strives to provide a safe, caring, and welcoming schools for children.Our primary objective is to foster a respectful learning environment to achieve student success and well-being in each of our 27 public schools throughout East-Central Saskatchewan.Our values of belonging, respect, responsibility, learning, nurturing, diversity and perseverance ensure Students Come First and Learning Without Limits ...Achievement for All We thank all applicants for their interest in working for the Good Spirit School Division, however, only those who have been selected for an interview will be contacted.We encourage all applicants to check our website regularly for ongoing vacancies that may be of interest to you.Quick Apply
