We currently have an opportunity for an Extraction/Meal Operator at our Yorkton - Oilseed location. Extraction operators are responsible for the safe operation of the Extraction Plant process, including all ancillary equipment.Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor all process equipment.
• Ensure process is operated within the given range for all parameters.
• Monitor all process equipment for purposes of lubrication, maintenance requirement and operational efficiencies.
• Understand and comply with all workplace health and safety requirements, company policies and procedures and general workplace rules.
• Participate in the day to day health and safety program by working in a safe manner at all times:
  • Always using the required personal protective equipment
  • Ensuring that authorized work is completed safely
  • Utilizing required controls to prevent risk of exposure to hazards
  • Participating actively in incident investigations, training, and other health and safety initiatives
  • Reporting all unsafe acts and conditions and all incidents, near misses and workplace injuries/illnesses as per company procedure
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Must have grade 12 or equivalent combined with excellent written, documentation and verbal communications skills.
• Must have a good work performance and attendance record and be willing to work rotating shift schedule, weekends and overtime.
• Experience in a Manufacturing Plant environment would be considered an asset.
