McMunn & Yates Furniture & Appliances, part of the McMunn & Yates Building Supplies family since 2011, is a one-of-a-kind retail location—part of a family of 19 building supply stores located throughout Manitoba, eastern Saskatchewan, and northwestern Ontario. Here you’ll find over 15,000 square feet of furniture and appliance displays, along with helpful and experienced staff to guide you with you buying decisions.McMunn & Yates in Yorkton, through both the lumber and furniture stores, provides a unique opportunity for local residents to not only build or renovate a house, but also to decorate and truly make it a home. We are currently accepting applications for a Furniture Sales & Marketing Specialist to add to our team.Furniture Sales & Marketing Specialist – Yorkton Furniture BranchIf you’re creative, enthusiastic, organized and work well in a team environment we want to meet you. This position consists of a combination of marketing, design and assisting in sales.As a valuable member of our team your duties will include:

  • Creating weekly eblasts to our list of customers
  • Assist with in store marketing including creating signage
  • Assist with content creation for digital, radio and print advertising
  • Updating promotions, flyers and additional marketing content on our website
  • Manage our social media accounts including creating posts and stories
  • Updating displays on the sales floor, this will include moving product from the warehouse to the sales floor as required
  • Assisting clients to source and select products
  • Manage custom orders including lead times while providing the highest level of customer service
  • Working Independently or with Colleagues to Ensure Client’s Need are Met
The successful candidate will:
  • Show a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service
  • Be dependable, detail orientated and follow up on tasks until completion
  • The ability to work in a team environment and independently with minimal supervision is essential
  • Have strong writing skills and aesthetic sensibility
  • Have knowledge of social media management including creating posts, stories and reels
  • Respond to customer online questions or messages in a timely manner
  • Available to work a variety of shifts including Saturdays
  • Be physically able to lift/carry over 50lbs
