Job Description

Hearing Aid Practitioner/AudiologistHearingLife Canada, and National Affiliated Providers, is the largest provider of hearing healthcare service in Canada. Working in unison with the National Campaign for Better Hearings awareness campaign (campaignforbetterhearing.org), our core philosophy is to "do what is best for the client" while increasing awareness of the effects of hearing loss and the benefits of hearing devices.At HearingLife we are the Modern Hearing Care Experts: Our Purpose is to provide Life-Changing Hearing Health with a Mission of Helping More People Hear Better.What you will do:Reporting to our Clinic Manager/Regional Manager, your first-class service of delivering excellent client care will be demonstrated as you perform the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Complete audiological assessments
  • Hearing instrument evaluations and follow-up
  • Hearing instrument fittings and dispensing
  • Hearing instrument rechecks
  • Assistive Listening Device recommendations
  • Cerumen management
  • Client follow-up
  • Counselling and Aural Rehabilitation
  • Individual and group aural rehabilitation
  • Diagnostic testing for an ENT
Professional Duties
  • Collaboration in development of best practice guidelines and other care protocols
  • Participation in rounds
  • Maintain professional credentials and continued education
  • Supervise or mentor students and new staff
Hearing Healthcare Centre Regional Support Duties
  • Presentations to community groups in HHC region
  • Participation in Company marketing initiatives
What you will need:
  • Registered with the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals in BC
  • Interest and/or experience with hearing instrument dispensing
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a collegial team environment
