Job Description

A great opportunity to start your career in the trades! Gardon Securities is looking for someone with a great attitude and work ethic. The candidate will learn how to install and maintain high-tech security systems with training on CCTV, Access Control, and Intrusion Alarm systems.Under the supervision of the Field Operations Manager, the Installation Technician will learn all the above and become proficient in this trade. The candidate will perform preventative maintenance, emergency maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs of electronic equipment and software, as well as end-user assistance regarding the proper utilization of these systems. The chosen candidate will travel within Saskatchewan / Western Manitoba and overnight stays away from home are occasionally required.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Attending to service calls. Repairing, using various tools and measuring meters, to troubleshoot defective equipment in order to restore to proper working condition
  • Assuring quality control through the completion of all scheduled preventive maintenance calls for assigned customers
  • Providing technical and user support by assisting clients in the operation of the products
  • Diligently completing and submitting work orders as per set procedures
  • Participating in training sessions as required by the company
  • Tracking and maintaining inventory in service vehicle and jobsites.
  • Performing product installations, reconfigurations, removals or relocations as well as site surveys as required
  • Participating in inventory counts of vehicles or warehouses as required
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Great attitude and work ethic, and willingness to learn
  • Desire to be a part of our team, and ability to follow direction
  • Valid driver’s license and clean drivers abstract
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to climb ladders
  • Ability to work on call and out of town when necessary
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Skills in computer networking is beneficial.
  • Experience with power tools is an asset.
Please note all candidates will be required to complete a background check which will include a criminal record check and drivers abstract.Job Type: Full-timeSalary: $16.00-$28.00 per hourAdditional pay:
