We are a proud sponsor of Telemiracle, the MS Society and many other charities throughout our community.Responsibilities:Freight Division:Training – oversee employees in the branch ensuring they are trained in their job duties and industry related coursesAssess - Makes sure the practical needs of the team are met utilizing different leadership styles in response to the needs and goals of the team.Customer Service at all times – internal and externalWork with CompCall on all paperwork for injuries and RTW programs – assist Branch ManagerSafety:Ensure Branch meets all safety goals – shared responsibilityAdherence to health & safety rules and lead by exampleGeneral maintenance of trucks and equipment - working with the Shop (i.e., safeties)Submit odometer readings needed for HSE reporting – assist Branch ManagerEnsuring all equipment is operated in a safe manner along with the drivers reporting any defects or accidents – assist Branch ManagerAdministration (Back Up when Manager away):Check & initial timecards and trip sheetsMeet all deadlines of cut-off with required paperworkTruck Mate admin – check Command centre and reports dailyWork with Office Manager to ensure the day-to-day operation of the officeOperations:Responsible for freight day to day operations of the branchEnsure all P&D service requirements are completed as scheduled & load, deliver and pick up freight as requiredPresence on dock to help with supervision – walk dock periodicallyEnsure major accounts are looked afterMonitor and reduce claims costs – goal of ultimate customer satisfactionHelp co-ordinate line runsCo-ordinate with freight central dispatchPick up and spot moving/freight trailers for loading and unloading and assist in packing or moving of customers as neededWarehouse & Yard:General maintenance and coordinate the ongoing utilization and maintenance of equipmentOversee Weigh It program for branch - scaling and cubing of freight – monitor to increase revenue – shared responsibilityBenefits:Competitive wagesTraining will be provided as necessaryLong term career development opportunitiesSupportive team environmentClean and well-maintained equipment and work areaCommitment to safety in all aspectsComprehensive benefitsEqual opportunity employerView our website at jays.ca or Facebook at facebook.com/jaystransportationgroup.Interested and qualified applicants are asked to apply online or forward resume and cover letter to:Attn: Human ResourcesFax: 306-565-8517Email: hr@jays.caQuick Apply
