Job Description

Legacy Co-op is hiring a Full – Time Petroleum Manager to lead the Team within the Bulk Petroleum Department in Yorkton, Saskatchewan.Who we are:Co-op does business differently. Legacy Co-op has locations in Yorkton, Kamsack, Theodore, Ebenezer, and Churchbridge.What you’ll do:Reporting to the Petroleum Division Manager, the Petroleum Manager is responsible for providing strategic direction and leadership within the Bulk Petroleum Department and advising on C-store/gas bar operations. You will also oversee the cardlock/keylock operations, bulk delivery fleet and bulk lubricant delivery program.

  • You will be responsible for the engagement of, effectively communicating with, and managing, your team including but not limited to; scheduling, approving payroll, hiring, onboarding, monitoring productivity, performance evaluations, training, and development with an emphasis on safety, discipline, and discharge.
  • You will be responsible for building strong customer relationships and customer satisfaction through regular direct contact.
  • You will be responsible for achieving budgeted goals in the bulk petroleum department including SPEH, sales and margins as directed by the Petroleum Division Manager.
  • You will ensure the department and employees are adhering and compliant, to all safety, environmental, asset protection/loss prevention policies/procedures.

  • Must have Grade 12 certificate. Post-secondary education from a recognized Institution in Management or Business Administration or a related field would be an asset
  • Must maintain Class 5 Driver’s licence throughout employment. Valid Class 1 license or Class 3 with air brake endorsement would be an asset
  • Must have a career background in petroleum operations and bulk fleet management with a minimum of 2 years’ of experience in Management and/ or minimum of 5 years’ experience in a leadership role
  • Must have the business acumen skills with an ability to control operational costs, maximize operational efficiency and improve sales and growth margin
  • Flexible to work various hours and on-call as required
  • You are experienced in computer skills with an intermediate understanding of MS Office Suite
  • You have experience in developing relationships with internal and external customers on complex issues and transactions
  • You have experience and proven leadership in coaching and providing feedback to other team members
  • Maintain good physical condition, physically able to do heavy lifting of 50 lbs, climb ladders and kneel
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability and deal with people sensitively and professionally at all times
  • You’re honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented and strive to be the best in what you do
