Job Title: ManagerOrganization: Society for the Involvement of Good Neighbours (SIGN) See www.signyorkton.caYorkton SK CanadaProgram: Choose to Change, previously known as Family ViolenceHours: 35 hours per weekLocation: YorktonStart Date: January 2023The Choose to Change Program Manager, operates the Choose to Change program by: educating referred clients on the cycle of abuse; providing community awareness opportunities; advocating for and supporting people experiencing family violence; managing the reporting and the budget of the program. The position requires an individual that is independent, communicative, and respectful and is able to connect with other agencies and programs effectively.Why work for SIGN· Addressing and assisting with prevention, education and supports regarding family violence;· Work/life balance; Paid day off once a month;· Employer paid health and dental plan.Expectations:

  • Coordinate and participate in case and file management;
  • Understand causes of family violence;
  • Provide supports and education to all clients;
  • Advocate and facilitate presentations about family violence;
  • Develop safety plans for individuals and families;
  • Maintain and model appropriate personal boundaries with client;
  • Respect and protect the rights of clients;
  • Appropriately support the cultural diversity of the clients;
  • Plan and implement program enhancements;
  • Compile caseload statistics and program reports;
  • Communicate effectively and use a professional approach with stakeholders;
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and ethical standards;
  • Competency with computers and A/V equipment.
Qualifications and experience: · A Bachelor of Social Work, a degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of work experience and education that is acceptable to the Board of Directors
  • A Valid Driver’s License and a safe, reliable vehicle;
  • Experience in planning and facilitating groups;
  • A recent (6 months or less), clear Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check.
