Main Duties:Reporting to the Asset Protection Manager, this position focuses on risk mitigation and protection of Casino assets and people, by supervising Security department staff and activities.Responsibilities include: Monitoring Security operations and communicating policies, procedures and standards to staff. Modeling, encouraging and coaching staff in a high standard of guest relations and professionalism. Assisting the Security Manager with staffing and performance management. Creating, distributing and revising staff schedules to meet operational needs and control costs. Carrying out a wide variety of administrative tasks as directed by the Security Manager. Fulfilling duties of a Security Officer as required. Handling other related tasks as required, to provide a safe and secure environment for guests and staff.Conditions of EmploymentSuccessful candidates are subject to a background check as well are required to obtain and maintain a gaming employee Certificate of Registration from the Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority (SLGA)/Indigenous Gaming Regulators (IGR).The minimum age to work in a casino or any area where gaming can be seen is 19 years of age.Must possess valid Saskatchewan Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.Tobacco smoke/High noise levels (during time spent at Casino sites).As our organization values employee and patron safety, SIGA has instituted a Drug & Alcohol policy for its employees.Compliance with all regulatory requirements as may be applicable to your position including but not limited to both SLGA requirements and the Anti-Money Laundering requirements set out in the Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act and regulations and policies made thereunder by Canada and FINTRAC.EducationSuccessful completion of Grade 12 or GED or a combination of relevant education, training and/or experience.Successful completion of First Aid, AED and CPR Level C is required.ExperienceExperience in security department.Experience writing accurate and complete reports, logs, and other documentation on all activities within the facility.Experience assisting recruitment, training and coaching of staff while in a supervisory role.Experience with de-escalating tense and potentially violent situations.Quick Apply
