Are you interested in working for a company that offers a challenging work environment and a rewarding career path West Fraser #39;s 100 Mile Lumber division has an opportunity for a highly skilled:CHIEF - 4th CLASS POWER ENGINEERYou will be responsible for the safe and optimum operation of the 100 Mile Lumber thermal oil plant and dry kilns.The 100 Mile Lumber thermal oil plant consists of three biomass heating units. The heat generated is used to dry lumber in six lumber kilns and provides building heat for the sawmill and planer.Responsibilities:

• Providing leadership, direction and supervision to the thermal oil plant operating crew
• Safety management including orientation, training, worker observations, identifying and correcting safety hazards, accident and near miss investigations, emergency protection systems and site audits.
• Ensuring optimum operation of the thermal oil plant.
• Contractor management.
• Reliability management including monitoring oil analysis and vibration analysis reports, planning and scheduling maintenance, operator care rounds, lubrication and spare parts management.

Our ideal candidate would have:

• Proven leadership skills and experience
• A 4th Class Power Engineering Certificate
• Industrial experience preferably including Thermal oil and/or power generation.
• Knowledge of kiln lumber drying
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal and team building skills
• Demonstrated problem solving, troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Desire to progress, learn, grow and succeed
