Position: Buyer Reports to: Senior Manager, ProcurementWe are looking for a Buyer to join our Procurementteam! Our Buyer will be sourcing and purchasing ingredients for our delicious, plant-powerful products. OpportunitiesIn this role, you will be involved in the launch and optimization of packaging projects from costing and production implementation to management of full lifecycle of products. You must have sound project management skills to juggle multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic and constantly evolving environment. You will also be involved with procurement process including QA documentation, PO’s, return order and inventory management. This role will give you the opportunity to build cross functional relationships internally and externally to the business. You will have the opportunity to work with an amazing team who has a direct impact on the product through purchasing as well as drive new initiatives and contribute in a meaningful way!RequirementsHere is who you are…Driveamp; motivation

Experience

• You have proven experience in a high-stress fast-paced environment
• You have 3-5 years of sourcing and buying experience

Nice-to-Have

• You have experience purchasing food ingredients
• You have some co-packing experience
• You have post-secondary education in supply chain management

things you will do…

• Champion procurement activities in a busy food production environment
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels, manage material requirements and associated logistics
• Source food ingredients ensuring items purchased follow established policies and procedures
• Negotiate and track contracts with brokers or suppliers providing analytical data and reports to support
• Generate savings on raw materials and logistics using commodity knowledge to support business objectives
• Ensure the quality of materials, competitive pricing, and sufficient supply at all times
