Job Description

Position:Director Manufacturing OptimizationReports to: PresidentOpportunitiesWe are seeking a dynamic and innovative Director of Manufacturing Optimization to lead efforts in optimizing our bakery and food production manufacturing lines. Reporting directly to the President, this role will be pivotal in working with the Plant Management to drive operational efficiency, leverage automation, and enable the company to expand its capabilities into new product categories. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with key stakeholders, including the Capital Projects, Operations leadership, and Innovation teams, to ensure seamless integration of process changes, equipment upgrades, and new manufacturing capabilities. Experience
  • You have proven experience in manufacturing process optimization, process (and/or mechanical) engineering, preferably in the food production or bakery industry.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
  • While formal education is not a prerequisite, the candidate must demonstrate a deep understanding of and the ability to be fully conversant with all aspects of production lines and projects.
  • A Bachelors in Engineering or related dicipline is a strong nice to have
things you will do…
  • Work with Plant Management to conduct in-depth analyses of manufacturing equipment and processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
  • Support the development and implementation of the strategies to optimize production workflows, reduce waste, and maximize overall line productivity.
  • Research and evaluate equipment and automation technologies to improve functionality and efficiency in production lines. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements to bring innovative solutions to the organization.
  • Partner with Projects to ensure seamless design, fabrication, procurement, and installation of new equipment.
  • Work with the VP Operationsamp; Plant Leadership to implement process changes and roll out new equipment upgrades across production facilities.
  • Collaborate with the Innovation team to develop and integrate new manufacturing capabilities needed for product expansion.
  • Lead and manage efficiency improvement projects from conception to execution, ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve project goals and ensure alignment with company objectives.
  • Utilize data analytics to measure the success of process improvements and make evidence-based recommendations.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior leadership on findings and proposed initiatives
