This role ensures activities foster community, meet individual needs, and promote holistic wellnessYour comprehensive role will be integral to addressing the psychosocial needs of residents, ensuring their well-being, and fostering a supportive environment. Our Hallmark on the Park and Hallmark on the Lake communities are nestled in an idyllic park and lake setting within Abbotsford. Key Responsibilities Leadership

• Lead program execution with support from the activity assistant.

• Model organizational values and demonstrate Servant Leadership. 

• Build positive relationships with residents, families, and team members. 

Program Development

• Ability to plan, coordinate, and facilitate engaging onsite events and external outings.

• Design and implement activity programs tailored to resident needs. 

• Reviews, assesses and adjusts activity plans regularly based on resident feedback Team Member input, observation and attendance.

Collaborationamp; Support

• Liaises with external professionals to book programs and events to meet Resident #39;s needs. 

• Collaborate with onsite chaplains, volunteer coordinators and activity assistants to support customized activities.

Administration

• Create and distribute monthly activity calendars and newsletters.

• With the support of the Administrator, manage department budgets and track expenditures. 

• Promote a culture of health and safety and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Professional Development

• Identify Participate in relevant conferences and training to enhance your skills. 

Requirements

• An Activity Aid Certificate and/or Diploma is considered an asset or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

• Two years of recent related experience coordinating recreation programs for seniors 

• Food Safe certification

• Current certification in Emergency First Aid OFA level 1 

• Valid Class 4 (unrestricted) driver #39;s license with clear driver’s abstract

Compensationamp; Benefits    

• We provide a competitive compensation package with an annual salary ranging from $58,000 to $60,000.  

• You will be welcomed into a warm and supportive community. As this is a temporary position, benefits are not provided for this role.
