Business Operating Name: DESIGN STUCCO LTDBusiness Address: #10 3275 McCallum Road, Abbotsford, BC V2S 7W8Work Location: Various locations across Lower Mainland and Fraser ValleyJob Title: Construction Trade HelperTerms of Employment: 30-40 hours per week, full-time, PermanentStart Date: As soon as possibleWage: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour (Depending on Experience)No of Positions: 3Job Duties: Load and unload construction materials and move materials to work areas. Mix, pour and spread materials. Assist tradespersons such as plasterers and stucco masons in construction activities. Assist plasterers and stucco masons in preparing and cleaning surfaces for applications of plaster, stucco, or similar materials and assist in setting up scaffolds. Cleaning job sites by removing any rubble or garbage at construction sites using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows, and other equipment; sorting materials and recyclables appropriately; ensuring work tools and equipment are stored away properly. Set up work areas for plasterers and stucco masons in advance. Maintain tools and equipment and coordinate with supervisor if replacement or service required. Cover surfaces such as windows and doors near work areas to protect from splashing and to avoid any damage. Operate various hand tools such as featheredges, hawks, plasters, trowels, spraying machines, power drills, etc, as directed. Perform other duties assigned by project Managers/Site Superintendents. Report all injuries, incidents or unsafe working conditions to their direct supervisor or safety representative as soon as possible. Report concerns to their direct supervisor immediately.SKILLS REQUIREMENTSEducation: No Formal Education required.Experience: No Experience required.***Experience working on construction sites would be considered an asset.***Knowledge and experience in EIFS Systems will be assets.Language: Basic English is required.Benefits: Successful candidates are applicable for Extended Health and Dental Benefit after 3 months of probationary period. Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Repetitive Tasks, physically demanding requires bending, Crouching, Kneeling, handling heavy loads, requires lifting, Pulling, and carrying of equipment and other objects, Standing for long period of time, Hand-eye co-ordination. Personal Suitability: Strong work ethics, dependable and reliable Ability to work in confined spaces, dusty work environments. Ability to bend, crouch, stand and kneel for long extended periods. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to do physical work for long shifts.
